3 Popular Toastie Fillings & How to Make Them

Lunch can be boring, but it doesn’t have to be. Toastie fillings can work to jazz up even the blandest of plates and can also be made ahead of time! We’ve listed three popular toastie fillings which can enhance any meal, including favourites like cheese and ham, pulled pork and coronation chicken.

Essential Equipment

Regardless of the type of toastie you’re making, you’ll need some key pieces of equipment, such as a toastie maker, or, if you’re using a stove or hot plate, a frying pan and metal spatula.

A Note About Bread

When it comes to making a yummy toastie, it’s all about the bread. You want to choose one which won’t crumble, yet tastes delicious. This decision is largely influenced by personal preferences. We really like a good wholemeal or brown loaf, though classic white works just as well!
