Pudding for a snack, a cookie with coffee, a few pieces of chocolate in front of the TV: it all adds up. Not just eating in passing, but consciously thinking about the food you eat is the first step to losing weight. Experts recommend keeping a food diary. But a kitchen scale such as the “Wasserstein Digital Nutrition Analysis Scale” also helps you to understand the content of calories, salt, fat, protein, fibre, carbohydrates and cholesterol in certain foods. You can look in the supplied booklet for the food that you would like to weigh. From corn to tuna, there are nearly 1000 foods coded with a number that you put into the scale. For example, the scale indicates how many calories or proteins are in the weighed quantity of mozzarella. You can then add up the respective weighed amounts with the memory function.
We admit: it's is our favourite dietician. The little pig grunts every time the fridge opens so you're reminded of your diet plan. How does it work? A small sensor activates the piggy as soon as the light in the fridge lights up. The pig then scolds you with an “Oink Oink” and exposes your indiscretion. So it's better to just keep the door closed!
Do you love spaghetti but want to eat fewer carbs to lose weight faster? Then try some vegetable spaghetti with carrots, beetroot or zucchini. You can enjoy the vegetables with no regrets because they are absolutely healthy and low in calories. For comparison: 100 grammes of pasta have 350 calories while spaghetti made from radish, carrots etc. has only 19 to 35 calories.
The “Gefu Original Spiral Cutter 13780” is everything you need to make vegetable pasta yourself. Just put your zucchini or carrots in the spiral cutter and turn the vegetables as if you were sharpening a pencil. The cutter has two openings. If you turn vegetables on one side, the cutter produces very thin spaghetti. The other opening produces somewhat thicker vegetable noodles. There's an attachment for the last bit of the vegetable so you can use most of the vegetable without potentially hurting your fingers.
You can cook the noodles directly in a pan with garlic, onions, meat and spices for example. Or, make proper spaghetti by placing it in boiling water briefly, taking it out again and enjoying it with a delicious tomato sauce.
Everyone knows: if vegetables are cooked too long, most of the vitamins and minerals are lost. However, it’s quite different when you steam vegetables. This can be done using an insert for a saucepan or more easily with a special steamer. Vegetables on the bottom, fish in the middle, rice on top. With this method, you can prepare a small meal on three levels. Once you have added the ingredients, simply pour in water through a side opening and use the pre-set cooking times for the corresponding foods. The unit will automatically shut off once the optimal steaming time has been reached. A great feature is the small aroma tray, in which you can add herbs and spices which are distributed by hot steam. The benefits are clear: the vegetables maintain their nutritional value. You also won't need any oil for food preparation, which will save you a lot of calories.
Quality olive oil is a great flavour enhancer, but also contains a lot of calories. For example, pouring directly from the bottle often results in too much oil. By use of an oil sprayer, the oil is optimally distributed and you can reduce the caloric value of your dish by about 100 calories. Tip: coated pans and woks in particular only need the smallest amounts of oil. The “Tiiante oil sprayer” is made of stainless steel and transparent glass. It can also be filled with vinegar, juice or wine.
Whether you’re dieting or not - sometimes you have to give in to temptation. A delicious snack makes the cinema experience perfect, especially at night in front of your own TV. This popcorn maker is ideal because it allows you to cook without any grease or oil. If you don't add salt or sugar, you have a low calorie and healthy snack. 100 g of popcorn contains only 368 kcal and 4 g of fat. For comparison: Chips have 540 kcal and 34 g fat. In addition, popcorn consists mainly of complex carbohydrates, i.e. it keeps your blood sugar stable for a long time and prevents food cravings. Popcorn is also gluten-free. For fresh popcorn, place a spoonful of popcorn kernels in the machine, turn it on and a large portion of popcorn will be ready in three minutes.
Cabbage rolls, stuffed pepper pods, chilli con carne, casseroles - minced meat can be used to make many tasty and healthy dishes. However, pork fat is often added to minced meat in the supermarket to enhance the taste. Luckily, you can make lower-calorie minced meat yourself - with a meat grinder. There are manually operated, but also electrical devices like this one, which is very convenient to handle. You just put the meat into the filler and seconds later have lean chicken meat. Tip: put the meat in the freezer for half an hour before processing; this prevents smearing while grinding.
Is grilling just for the summer? No way! With this contact grill, you can enjoy grilled vegetables, spicy steaks, meatballs or potato pancakes all year round. The great thing: You only need a little oil. The grate only has to be coated very thinly with oil, or you can use the oil sprayer (see above). The excess fat also drips out of the respective food into a drip tray. This way you can actually see how much fat was removed during the preparation, which would have otherwise landed on your hips.
There are three options for preparing your favourite food:
For grilling, simply lay the piece of meat or fish on the surface and close the grill. Your food will get cooked from both sides at the same time, resulting in a really juicy dish.
You can also use the grill when opened and, for example, grill a piece of fish on the left and some vegetables on the right.
Or, you can use the adjustable hinges to make it function as an oven, with the two grill surfaces up to 5 cm apart. This way you can bake vegetables with cheese on top, for example.
